HERBAL MAGICK

Herbal Magick is the practice of using plants, flowers, roots, and resins in spellwork, rituals, and spiritual practices. Each herb carries its own unique energy and properties, which can be harnessed for protection, healing, love, prosperity, or banishing. Herbs can be used in various forms—burned as incense, infused into oils, brewed into teas, added to spell jars, or placed on altars. This practice connects witches to the natural world, drawing on the earth’s wisdom to enhance their magic. As with all witchcraft, intention is key, and ethical, sustainable harvesting and respect for the plants are encouraged.

PLANTS IN BANEFUL MAGICK

Plants in baneful magick are typically those with properties that can cause harm, invoke malefic energies, or influence the physical or spiritual well-being of individuals. These plants, often toxic or poisonous, have been used throughout history in rituals and spells intended to curse, hex, or bring about misfortune.

However, it is important to note that all plants have the potential to be used banefully, depending on how they are employed in spellwork. While certain plants have a reputation for causing harm due to their toxic nature, even those that are traditionally considered healing herbs can be used in baneful magick. For instance, herbs like Rosemary or Lavender, which are often used for purification and protection, can be reversed or used in a more negative context to bring discord or repel positive energies when used with malicious intent. The key is in the intention and method of application — any plant can carry a charge, either positive or negative, depending on how it is used in ritual or spellwork.
